I’m going to talk about the reason why in spite of doing everything right, your store isn’t getting sales.

I have seen a lot of people complaining about how people are coming to their stores but are not buying anything, forget about purchasing, they’re not evening adding the products in their cart.

Well, if this situation is happening with you then there you’re either targeting third world countries or your store isn’t appealing enough. In the majority of cases, the latter is the reason.

How do you then rectify this?

Simple- COMPETITOR ANALYSIS.

What do I mean by that?

Well, always think of dropshipping business as a proper business and once you’re about to start a business, an analysis of your competition is necessary.

In the dropshipping business, it’s very important to analyze the stores/websites that are in your niche and are doing big numbers.

Here’s how you do it- You search on GOOGLE your niche followed by a keyword.

For example- Dog collar website.

Visit at least 5-7 websites and see what they have that your site doesn’t, they might have a better-looking website, or a good story, or a custom email id for easier contact, etc.

Most of the websites that we’ve seen lack even basic things we have covered in our Blog posts. Make sure you cover all the basic things first then look at your competition and outdo them.

They have a good looking website?

Great, change your theme/color scheme, and make a better one with great fonts.

They have a good story?

Cool, create a story of your own that makes your brand better than them.

They have easier to reach customer service?

Nice, add a chatbox application to yours.

Don’t copy them. Get inspiration from them and make a better version of it. This will at least give you the confidence that your website has the potential to make a potential customer buy from you.

As I have mentioned in our earlier Blogs, we run an eCommerce web design agency and whenever we get a project, this is literally the first thing we do.

We see big brands in the niche and try our best to outdo them. This analysis and making your store better than the rest will almost guarantee sales.

If you yourself have the confidence to buy from your store, you’ve won.

Then all you need to do is target the right audience with the right copy/creative, and with the confidence of being the best in your niche, you’ll enjoy every second of it.

Again, look at least 5-7 stores in your niche and see what convinces people to buy from them.

Look at them from a customers point of view.
