If you’re reading this going, “Meh, no. It doesn’t work, I’ve already tried” you’re right.

Email marketing won’t work IF you’re not sending the right kind of emails (aka, the kind of emails with eye-catching subject lines, good n’ sexy body content with strong CTAs, etc).

But when you’re sending emails that can:

  • Snag your reader’s attention with a subject line that sparks curiosity.
  • Keep your reader’s attention with body content that speaks to your reader like, “Hey, you. Yeah, you. Buckle up because i’m about to take you on one wild, crazy ride you don’t want to miss!”
  • Make your reader say, “Ho-ly, f@#$. What just happened and why do I want to spend my money so bad right now?”

Then, well. Email marketing will work for you.

And now is the best time to jump on (or back into) it because:

  • You’re missing out on opportunities to sell more (follow-up, abandon cart sequences)
  • You’re missing out on opportunities to build a brand people can love (indoctrination sequences).
  • You’re missing out on opportunities to give your business a fighting chance at surviving during a time like this.

Get on (or get back on) email marketing NOW.

And if email marketing didn’t work for you in the past, suck it up and either learn how to write better emails or hire a professional.

Just stop BSing around and start doing shit that’s gonna help save your business.

Don’t want to end up in the spam folder? Don’t do this shit

  • Send marketing emails to people who did not opt to receive emails from you (so no buying emails or paying for solo ads)
  • Send spammy-looking content to the people that did give you permission to send them emails (whatever the case may be, you got their attention enough for them to give your their contact info. Now it’s your job to keep it).
  • If you ARE trying out cold email to pitch your services, keep it conversational, witty (not to be mistaken for “try too hard to be funny but end up not being funny at all”), entertaining, etc. Just write like you’re genuinely interested in helping out your prospects (because you should be genuinely interested in helping them out).

Write a subject line that’s sparks interest. Then follow up with an opening in your body content that disarms your reader

Introduce yourself but don’t go on about how amazing you are and all the recognition you have and blah blah blah. Save that for later. Right now you’re giving them the “my name is so-and-so. You don’t know who I am, nor do you care (right now), but this is why you should.

Good luck.
